Original documents kindly submitted, from the factory archives, by Roy P. Wassink, The Netherlands.

After the fatal accident with s/n 004 in Australia attention was directed to delamination of the spar timber. All Sagittas in New Zealand were checked, and hairline cracks were found in the spar ends of s/n 010, ZK-GDO. This resulted in further investigation, and the letters from the Civil Aviation Department to the factory in Holland highlight in detail what was going on. Click on each letter for an easier to read version.
