After the fatal accident with s/n 004 in
Australia attention was directed to delamination of the spar timber. All
Sagittas in New Zealand were checked, and hairline cracks were found in the
spar ends of s/n 010, ZK-GDO. This resulted in further investigation, and
the letters from the Civil Aviation Department to the factory in Holland
highlight in detail what was going on. Click on each letter
