Photo gallery of the Sagitta history in
New Zealand
We know that Sagitta's were flown at the first ever
National Championships at Masterton, in 1968. Does anyone have
pictures of that event? Here is one of DX - with the original canopy
still in one piece! - at another competition, at
Matamata.
Don Grigg from
the Rotorua Gliding Club submitted the following pictures. Rotorua Gliding Club
is probably the only club in the world to ever have owned two Sagitta's.
Undoubtfully she was a popular glider there....

GBE, Bocian GED, Sagitta GDO and EON Baby ZK-GAF. The baby is New
Zealand's oldest flying glider. It first flew in 1949 and is owned
by Don Grigg of Rotorua.
All gliders on these photograph are still
flying today! The Rotorua Club trains with the Bocian and the
Baby is based there as
well.
